Position Overview:
Are you excited about the potential for machine learning? Are you passionate about how Machine Learning can be leveraged in the architectural and engineering design of our built environment?
Our AI team is working to integrate the power of AI and Machine Learning into Autodesk’s Architecture and Engineering Design tools like Revit, ReCap, and Dynamo to help our customers augment their design workflows to build a better world.
We are looking for a self-motivated, curious, and creative Machine Learning Engineer to join our team that can help us develop ML models and prototypes to solve our design customers’ most challenging design problems. In this role, you will work closely with other data scientists and engineers to generate and interpret large amounts of design data that can augment/enhance design and engineering workflows.
Responsibilities:
  • Research and recommend the best approach to solve a given problem
  • Organize and process large batches of text, vector, and raster data
  • Collaborate with engineers in both research and product engineering to develop and test machine learning models
  • Develop working prototypes to showcase and validate your solution
  • Communicate your findings through quantitative data analysis and qualitative visuals and insights
Minimum Qualifications:
  • A BS, MS or PhD in Mathematics, Statistics, Computer Science, Architecture, Engineering or another quantitative discipline degree
  • Familiarity with various statistical and machine learning techniques including: classification, regression, dimension reduction, regularization, clustering and various multivariate methods
  • Experience in Deep Learning techniques such as: CNNs, RNNs, and various generative networks
  • Knowledge of standard deep learning frameworks such as TensorFlow, PyTorch
  • Exposure to Cloud Computing in AWS and leveraging the SageMaker Studio platform
  • Good understanding of fundamental CS algorithms and their scaling behaviors
  • Good coding skills covering procedural as well as data-analytics oriented languages (such as Python)
  • Good communication skills and an awareness of how to communicate data and results effectively
  • You can quickly learn new tools and data models
  • You are comfortable working in newly forming ambiguous areas where learning and adaptability are key skills
  • You are great at communicating your findings both orally and visually
  • You have strong interpersonal skills and ability to work effectually as a member of team with minimal supervision
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Background in Architecture, Engineering, or Construction
  • Previous back-end development experience including working with Docker
  • Experience working with web-development technologies like React and Next.js
  • Experience working with .NET
