Here at Leicestershire Fire and Rescue Service, we have a new and exciting opportunity for a Safeguarding Team Leader to join our dynamic team on a full-time, permanent basis. In return, you will receive a competitive salary of £35,411 to £39,493 per annum plus benefits!

 

Leicestershire Fire and Rescue Service are not limited to firefighting. We also respond to a wide range of incidents, increasingly those that involve our rescue capability. We also work closely with other emergency services and our local authority partners to deliver an emergency response and protect our communities.

You will automatically be enrolled into the Local Government Pension Scheme (LGPS), this is a tax approved, defined benefit occupational pension scheme. Your contributions are based on your earnings, and you can choose from different income options when you retire.

 

Working hours: The successful applicant to work 37 hours a week, Monday to Friday. You will also be required on occasions to work outside of the usual working hours and have the ability to travel to venues within the service area or across the United Kingdom to facilitate the role. This will include evenings and weekends.

 

Hybrid working may be considered for this role.

 

About the Safeguarding Team Leader role:

 

The purpose of the Safeguarding Team Leader role is to assist the Service, meet its legislative duties and expectations outlined within the National Fire Chiefs Council (NFCC) Safeguarding Guidance for Children, Young People and Adults.

 

Key responsibilities as a Safeguarding Team Leader:

 

You will provide advice and guidance to service staff and utilise knowledge and expertise from external partners, organisations, and stakeholders to enhance the Service’s interaction with the local community.

 

Skills and experience required as our Safeguarding Team Leader:

 

  • Educated to NVQ Level 4 or equivalent qualification or equivalent work experience
  • An appropriate professional qualification in management and/or evidence of formal management training or structured management development activity
  • Experience of leading, managing and motivating diverse multi-skilled teams
  • Highly organised
  • Proven experience of working within a fast-paced organisation
  • Good interpersonal skills
  • Flexible and Adaptable
