Summary

We are seeking an Industrial/ Process Engineer based at NMUK, Sunderland. This is to support deployment of Regional APW Office Strategies & Objectives, specifically the development of Suppliers and supporting Purchasing in achieving their annual cost reduction targets for Nissan & Alliance line parts.

You should apply if you have:

  • Educated to degree level in an Engineering based subject (or a suitable level of work experience in a manufacturing environment).
  • An understanding of different manufacturing processes (e.g. Stamping, Welding, Plastic injection, Paint or Assembly processes).
  • Experience of using Industrial Engineering tools (e.g. process flow chart, timing study, line balance, etc.)
  • Ability to work cross functionally – across all levels within Nissan & externally.
  • Proficient communicator – good presentation skills are essential.
  • Competent PC skills with good working knowledge of Microsoft Office.
  • Good problem-solving skills and ability to prioritise tasks.
  • Capable of gathering, interpreting & analysing facts/data to identify cost reduction opportunities, then follow through with implementation of improvements.
  • Flexible and adaptive, able to work to tight deadlines.
  • Travel throughout the UK and Europe is essential to fulfil this role.
  • Full UK driving licence.
