Job Description

Job Purpose:

  • The purpose of the Service Manager role is to take ownership of application services throughout the lifecycle from service introduction, through enhancement and maintenance, to decommissioning. The objective is to efficiently uphold agreed functionality, high availability, adequate performance, and adequate usability of services in scope, as well as to further develop the service to support and drive business capability development. In doing so, the Service Manager shall drive the competitiveness of the service from a comprehensive perspective, including functionality, performance, and cost. Furthermore, the Service Manager shall be an advocate of service purpose, value, direction, and usage. The Service Manager also manages selected activities and projects

Main Tasks and Accountabilities:

  • Serve as point of contact and lead collaboration among business stakeholders and colleagues across Group IT to evaluate ideas and define solutions to needs
  • Drive the Service team
  • Organize, oversee, and drive enhancement, management, maintenance, and licensing of assigned applications with internal and external parties
  • Ensure robust, performance-optimized, efficient, scalable, reusable, secure, and value-adding functional designs to fulfill solution requirements
  • Contribute to sourcing new services and suppliers
  • Build and manage relationships with and follow up on deliveries from companies that supply products and services
  • Manage projects and activities including defining and executing project/activity scope, time plan, and budget

Requirements:

  • Broad experience in the IT industry and understanding of relevant technologies
  • Leadership skills
  • Strong ownership of responsibilities
  • Value and result driven
  • Collaborative with Group IT colleagues, business colleagues, and vendors. Advocate of teamwork
  • Planning and organizing the work of others, with strong influence from modern ways of working with IT

Experience:

  • At least three years of experience in a relevant position
  • At least five years of work experience
